ABOUT US

Female Inspiration is an association based in Aarhus (DK) and whose purpose is to support the female figure in the world of the arts, with a main focus on classical/contemporary music inspired from or written by women. The project arises from the world of music, although it is also related to other performing arts such as dance, drama, light or the audiovisual world.

 

The aesthetic principle behind each performance is always related to a journey of emotions, where the listener participates in an art experience far away from the traditional picture. Since its founding in 2018, Female Inspiration has developed a series of theme concerts, where the common thread is a thought or a concept that everyone in the audience can relate to.

A recent report published by the Danish Composers Society shows that only 5% of the music performed in Denmark is written by women. Besides that, female composers represent only the 12% of the composer’s population in Denmark. 

The music industry has obviously been male dominated for centuries,

LET’S CHANGE IT and MAKE IT REAL.

 

Fighting this misconception and creating a magical experience is Female Inspiration’s mission.
